Synopsis -
Allie Sheridan’s world is falling apart. Her brother’s run away from home. Her parents ignore her. And she’s just been arrested.

Again.

This time her parents have had enough. They cut her off from her friends and send her away to boarding school, far from her London friends.

But at Cimmeria Academy, Allie is soon caught up in the strange activities of a secret group of elite students.

When she’s attacked late one night the incident sets off a chain of increasingly violent events. As the school begins to seem like a very dangerous place, she finds out that nothing at Cimmeria is what it seems to be.

And that she is not who she thought she was.

So if like me by looking at the cover and by reading the synopsis you think its a paranormal romance, think again. And that is what i loved about this book is the way Daugherty wrote scene like a branch snapping while being alone in the Forest it could of been anything a pack of wild animals or a group of assassins its a mystery you don't now what is behind it whether it is paranormal or mundane it keep you entertained and at the end of the book leaves you wanting more.

Some Points on the book
  • Yes there is a love triangle which the book could probably do without because right now it dosen't really add anything to the story.
  • if you have read Secret lives by Gabriella Poole its a bit similar where there is a secret order within the school
So the main character Allie at first she is rebellious and some one i wouldn't normally connect with but as i read on and read her story and how she uses counting to stop her anxiety and in the end i loved her knee high Doc Martins and all

Over all this was an fast paced book and i cannot wait to carry on with the series.

Until Next Time
