England 1461: The young King Edward of York has taken the country by force from King Henry VI of Lancaster. Sir Jasper Tudor, Earl of Pembroke, flees the massacre of his Welsh army at the Battle of Mortimer’s Cross and plans a rebellion to return his half-brother King Henry to the throne.
When King Henry is imprisoned by Edward in the Tower of London and murdered, Jasper escapes to Brittany with his young nephew, Henry Tudor. Then after the sudden death of King Edward and the mysterious disappearance of his sons, a new king, Edward’s brother Richard III takes the English Throne. With nothing but his wits and charm, Jasper sees his chance to make young Henry Tudor king with a daring and reckless invasion of England.

Set in the often brutal world of fifteenth century England, Wales, Scotland, France, Burgundy and Brittany, during the Wars of the Roses, this fast-paced story is one of courage and adventure, love and belief in the destiny of the Tudors.
I read the first book Owen a couple of months ago and i have been meaning to read this for a while but i wasn't sure i wanted to but i have been reading a lot about Henry Vii recently and now realise i need to read this book and i read this book in one sitting and didn't get to sleep till around three AM just because i needed to finish this book.

I loved every single character in this book there were so many but i loved most of them and i love the fact the the author doesn't by into the old stereotypes about the different characters because it is good to see something different. Jasper was very well written and you could just imagine this being the real Jasper Tudor and all of the characters added something to this book be it angst or love every single character was well written and none of them are forgettable.

This book is set in probably the most violent part of The Wars of the Roses so there is some violence and there is implied sex but you never actually read any which is surprising refreshing for a adult historical fiction. This book is set in so many places its hard to keep up its in England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, and France. The story flowed of the page and was written in a way that it felt like a film in my head and that is always an amazing experience when that happens. I highly, highly, recommend this series so far it seems that the books are getting better as they go one so i now have very high expectations for the third and final book Henry.

When Marla Jacobs discovers that the shop next to her Little White Wedding Chapel is to become a funeral parlour, she declares all-out war.
Marla’s chapel in the sleepy Shropshire countryside has become a nation-wide sensation, but the arrival of Funeral Director Gabriel Ryan threatens everything Marla has worked for. She can picture the scene: wedding limos fighting for space in the street with hearses; brides bumping into widows; bouquets being swapped for wreaths.
Marla’s not going down without a fight. She enlists a motley crew of weird and wonderful local supporters, and battle lines are drawn. But, as soon as Marla meets her nemesis, she realises just how much trouble she’s really in. His rugged good looks and Irish lilt make her stomach fizz – how is she supposed to concentrate on destroying him, when half the time she’s struggling not to rip the shirt off his back?
I read this book in one sitting it had me laughing, crying, and swooning. It is one of those books that you think is going to take a couple of days to read then you start and cant stop, i only recently got into Kat French's novels but so far out of the two i have read this is my favourite, it hooked me from the very first page and i never wanted it to end.

Marla and Gabriel are two of the most opposite characters you will ever meet and that is why they just work with her Americanism's and his Irish Brogue set in the middle of the English country side, they both had their ups and their downs but they both weathered through, they both showed incredible strength through everything. And like in the other Kat French book i have read the cast of friends are just a riot they never fail to make you smile or make your jaw drop even if some of it was a tiny bit predictable at times but i really enjoyed it anyway. There were also some antagonists and they were very well written into the story and how they connected everything.

When i first started reading this book i had no idea how they would ever sort them selves out to end up in a relationship, it is a story of love, friendship, family and drama. A real page turner it is one of those books you cant put down it feels magical when you read it and when it is over all you want to do is read more from the author. It is such a odd concept that you would never think of having a funeral home next to a wedding chapel but it works as a concept because of the way it was written. I highly recommend this book it was a fun read that i will definitely re read when i feel like i need a boost in my life.

As one of the biggest rock stars in the business, Drew Morrison can have anything—and anyone—he wants. Only Ashley Emmit, who has joined his tour to work on a college research project, is completely off-limits. Drew promised her father that, once the tour was over, he would send her home pure and untouched by the rock ’n’ roll world. But he has never been so tempted by anyone in his entire life. How is he going to make it through this tour without giving in to the urge to drag her into his arms and kiss her breathless?
Ashley has always lived by the rules. But from the moment she meets Drew, none of those rules make sense anymore. Not only does Drew’s music affect her deeply...but she’s never wanted to kiss anyone so badly. Not that a magnetic star like Drew would ever feel the same way about a brainiac like her, of course. And even if he did, she knows from painful experience that two people as different as they are simply don’t belong together.
But when the attraction between Drew and Ashley burns hotter every moment they’re together on the tour bus—and they begin to share their deeply hidden and emotional secrets—will either of them be able to resist temptation? Or could giving in to their feelings lead them straight toward a love they never saw coming...

So i read this book straight after finishing the first book in this series because Andre's writing is so addictive you just want to read more and more. I cant remember hearing about Drew in the Sullivan series until Every Beat of My Heart the novella that just came out, but i could be wrong it has been a while since i read the San Fran Sullivan's. This was the old story line of a guy who promises someone he will protect their loved one and then ends up falling in love with them and i am perfectly fine with that its a lot like the friends to lovers trope that i also love.

Drew and Ashley are my current favourites but i know when i read a series like this my favourites switch with each book. I loved the fact that Ashley grew so much she stood up for what she believed in and came up with some brilliant idea's. She grew right before your eyes and became a strong female lead character.
Drew was your typical male lead in this genre of book but then he also surprises you so much in what is essentially a very short amount of time he is a rock star but he is a protective older brother and a great friend we get to know more about the family with each book and the entire family just make this book what it is.

I have already briefly wrote about the outline of this story and its sort of friends to lovers story but it is also so much more than that it deals with grief and separated family's and i cannot wait to read the next book in the series since it is another friends to lovers story and those are currently my favourite trope.

You are cordially invited to a very special wedding....
What do you get when two Sullivans pick the same wedding date?
Two super-sexy grooms.
Two beautiful brides.
Two very unconventional (four-legged and furry) ring bearers.
And Sullivans from around the world coming together to celebrate vows of forever with auto mogul Zach Sullivan and dog trainer Heather Linsey - and pro baseball star Ryan Sullivan and sculptor Vicki Bennett.
This is the double wedding millions of Sullivan fans have been waiting for....
I have never listened to a audiobook before but i love the Sullivan's and decided i would try it, now i am not converted but i certainly don't hate them. I was so excited when i found out what this was about i had to give it a try and i am so happy i did i mean i am still going to buy the kindle version when i comes out, but for now it had to do.

We met up with all the characters so far and it was just one of those moments that you just kind of melt into a puddle there was so much fluffyness and cuteness i think i was a little bit broken after this because it had wedding's birth's proposals baby announcements it had everything you want to see when you are so attached to a fictional family that the author makes you feel apart of and i can honestly say this is probably my all time favourite novella.

The characters in this book i feel as if i have talked about them a lot when i probably haven't the men are everything you want and the women are strong all in their own way, they all have this inner strength that is not comparable to many series. Every single character brings something to this novella and i highly suggest you either listen to it or read it when it comes out because it will give you a life and if you are having a really bad day it will lift your mood and just make you smile.

Sean Morrison, one of six siblings and the top college baseball player in the country, is reeling from a heartbreakingly painful loss. Nothing seems to matter anymore...until the night Serena Britten unexpectedly ends up in his arms.
Serena is a world-famous model who has only ever wanted to be normal, even though her mother has always pushed her to become a superstar. Though it isn't easy to try to leave everyone and everything she knows behind, Serena is determined to enroll in college. More than anything, she wants to turn her love for books into a new career that she actually loves. Only, she never expected to meet someone like Sean on campus—or to be instantly consumed by their incredible chemistry and connection.

But when the pressures of her high-profile modeling career only get bigger and more demanding, will it make living a normal life as a college student—and falling in love with the hottest guy on campus—impossible?
I have loved Andre's writing for a while The Sullivan series is one of my favourite on going series and she has no plan to stop them, i didn't see any connection at first and i never would have except for the fact that i recently re read Just To Be With You, and Tatiana helps a young model with her overbearing mother and it was there i realised that it was the same girl.

Because of that i already loved Serena and this book made me love her more because she stood up to her mother and she did what she wanted for a change she showed so much strength and integrity, and she was an inspiration for a lot of people.
Sean was the same he had this vulnerability that is so endearing  but he also had strength and an aura of light around him and that is why he is a lot different than a lot of male characters in this genre.
I cannot wait to read more of this series because The Morrison's seem like the kind of family you can just love a lot like the Sullivan's the Maddox's and many more.

The story was mostly to do with Serena finally standing up for herself but there also was a lot of relationship angst as well because of trying to be in a relationship when you have paparazzi after you and creepy teachers things can get a little heavy and make things seem impossible but it is well wort the read and also if you love the Sullivan's some of them make appearances in this series.

Top 5 Wednesday - Most Recent Additions To Your Wishlist - 20th July 2016

Hello, it has been a couple weeks since i have done a T5W, but i decided to do it this week and the topic for this week is the most recent additions to your wish list. This was a bit tough for me because i don't tend to have a wish list so i went by the books i have pre ordered recently and books that i have only just heard about ....

5. The Winter King - Thomas Penn

I have fallen back in love with the Tudor period but this time more with early Tudors and the tv documentary on this book is one of my favourites you can find it on youtube it is fascinating.

4.Summer Days & Summer Night - Edited by Stephanie Perkins

I read the Christmas version of this the past two years but i have been in a reading slump so i haven't been buying many books so this is still on my list but right now we are having amazing weather in London so i am really feeling summer books right now.

I read Owen the first book in this series earlier this year and i still have Jasper the second book to read but physically cannot wait to read this book.

1. Harry Potter and The Cursed Child -  J K Rowling

I think this will be on everybody's list because i mean we didn't think we were ever going to get more and now we are the only thing is i thin everybody has such high expectations that it will probably disappoint and i really don't want that to happen.

Evie Snow is eighty-two when she quietly passes away in her sleep, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. It's the way most people wish to leave the world but when Evie reaches the door of her own private heaven, she finds that she's become her twenty-seven-year-old self and the door won't open.
Evie's soul must be light enough to pass through so she needs to get rid of whatever is making her soul heavy. For Evie, this means unburdening herself of the three secrets that have weighed her down for over fifty years, so she must find a way to reveal them before it's too late. As Evie begins the journey of a lifetime, she learns more about life and love than she ever thought possible, and somehow , some way, she may also find her way back to her long lost love . . .
Going into this book i decided i didn't want to read anything about it, and i wanted to go into it blind. I am so glad i did because then i experienced it with a surprise at every corner. Carrie Hope Fletcher's first fiction novel was brilliant and i cannot wait to read more.

The story was one i have personally not read before, it was about ridding yourself of your secrets before you can pass on from limbo and it flowed perfectly and was written beautifully. It had family, friendship, love, sacrifice, and companionship. It flowed off the page and filled me with hope and happiness and also sadness at times but it made me smile, it made me laugh and i really want to read more stories like this now. I will also say it is one of the best feelings to finish a book then look at the cover and realise it is all there every secret and it make me smile, because some covers have nothing to do with a book but this one is the book.

Evie, Vincent, Jim, Eddie and all the rest of the cast made this book special because all of them brought something special be it a brother/sister relationship that anyone would kill to have or someone who loves someone but sacrifices everything so they can protect their loved one. Obviously there were characters you would class as antagonists but even they brought something to the story be it if they made one of the other characters make a choice and then it impacts on the whole story.

I loved this story it had a meaning, it makes you think and it makes you appreciate everybody in your life because it is the people in your past that make you who you are in the future and this book personifies that.

One Hot Summer - Kat French

Genre - Adult > Romance

Being married to a celebrity isn't all it's cracked up to be, especially when that celebrity has a very public affair with his co-star…
Alice McBride is determined that the one thing she won't lose in her marriage breakup is Borne Manor, her beloved home, but she gets more than she bargained for when she rents it out for the summer and a sexy cowboy comes to stay.
Country music star Robinson Duff has had his own share of heartbreak and needs somewhere quiet to hide out for the summer. Neither Alice nor Robinson are in any position for romance; the timing is terrible and they're both rebounding like out of control frisbees.
Can a holiday romance help mend their broken hearts. Or will it just make things even worse when the long hot summer comes to its inevitable end?

I honestly didn't read the synopsis, i scanned it and saw Country music star and brought the book instantly because i love anything to do with country music and i wanted to read it straight away. I read this book in one sitting it hooked me from the very first page and i have ended up loving this author and brought another of her books straight after finishing this one. It is currently really hot in the UK at the moment so i am spending most of my free time sitting under a gazebo reading and writing reviews and this book made me sit in the sun and get burned all because i could not put it down.

Alice and Robinson are two characters that have gone through a lot in their lives and are characters most people will either relate to or be reminded of someone they know and they both dealt with very similar situations but in very different ways.
Alice was such a strong character and she finally finds her voice in this book and that is really exciting to watch her grow and to become strong and make her own choices in love and life.
Robinson was the same apart from when we first meet him i didn't warm to him as i did Alice but i think that is intentional by the author because then we fall in love with him as the book goes on and you never feel sorry for the characters but you just want give them a hug and tell them that things get better. Robinson just personifies a country man for me and i love his morals and just everything about him.
The supporting cast were also just a lovely bunch of characters there were some that were obviously the antagonists and didn't like them at all. But every other character just finds a place in your heart and they all remind you of someone in your life or someone you know and that is what is so great about them.

The story was like most others in this genre but i loved it any way because of French's writing style, she makes it fell like a new concept and it flowed perfectly and a very fluffy story one that i will read again and again because of how it flowed and how happy it made me feel.

Until Next Time

How do you move on after losing the person you loved? How do you build a life worth living?
Louisa Clark is no longer just an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. After the transformative six months spent with Will Traynor, she is struggling without him. When an extraordinary accident forces Lou to return home to her family, she can’t help but feel she’s right back where she started.
Her body heals, but Lou herself knows that she needs to be kick-started back to life. Which is how she ends up in a church basement with the members of the Moving On support group, who share insights, laughter, frustrations, and terrible cookies. They will also lead her to the strong, capable Sam Fielding—the paramedic, whose business is life and death, and the one man who might be able to understand her. Then a figure from Will’s past appears and hijacks all her plans, propelling her into a very different future. . . .

For Lou Clark, life after Will Traynor means learning to fall in love again, with all the risks that brings. But here Jojo Moyes gives us two families, as real as our own, whose joys and sorrows will touch you deeply, and where both changes and surprises await.
I can honestly say, i didn't want to read this book for me it felt like having another book after Allegiant i didn't want to see the characters without Will and that is really stupid because it is a really good idea because now we can see how one decision changed everything in many peoples lives. I saw the film then decided i needed to know what happened after, what Lou does, and do things get better. I am so glad i read this book i was funny and sad and even shocking at times

Lou was just as good, if even better than the first book, because she was more confident and you could see a change one that Will brought to her. The decision she made that changed her relationship with her family and everyone around her. She stayed strong through everything that was thrown at her and for that she has become one of my favourite characters in this genre
I'm not going to say much about Sam because you really should make your mind up on him as you read but i would never be able to choose between Sam and Will so i truly think he is a worthy character and one that also deserves a happy ending.
There are so many more characters i want to talk about but they are so spoilery that i cant so i will just settle and say that you will be shocked, blown away and just down right flabbergasted at some of the new characters and the transformation of the old characters.

The story started of very sad and melancholic, i knew it wouldn't be all laughter and smiles but from where it finishes in Me Before You to the start of After You, so much has changed and that is sad as well because we see Lou struggling and then we see her go through so much and then the people closest to Will we see them and how their lives have now changed and i loved the story and by the end i knew what had to happen and just loved every moment of reading this book apart from some sections that made me burst into tears. For me it was a worthwhile read and one i wish i read straight after reading Me Before You, because it just helped with the closure of the first book.

Vincent Moretti is one of the NYPD's top homicide detectives-and one of the most eligible bachelors in town. His family, however, thinks he should date his longtime partner, Jill-a sassy, sexy, smart-mouthed blonde who drives him absolutely crazy.
Behind the quiet authority, tough-guy demeanour, and dark aviator glasses lies a man with a big soul-and a hard body that can soften any girl's heart. After years as his coworker, Jill Henley has given up hope that anything could happen between her and Vin. Besides, loving him would break all the rules. But seeing Jill with someone else triggers feelings in Vincent he never knew he had. Now he'll have to stop playing good cop/bad cop-and find a way to convince her to be his partner for life. . .

This was the book i was most looking forward too, i can't explain why it just had the friends to lovers story that is one of my guilty pleasures, and reading the first two books in this series they were in the the background but you could see what potential they had.
Vin and Jill just worked, in a professional sense and a personal one. Because of that they make the best team and my favourite couple in this series.

Vin is one of those guys he doesn't see what is right there until it isn't and Jill has just given up hope of her best friend so it is a again a very different story from the last two, and also a very different female lead character. Jill was just a strong as Maggie or Ava but she was strong in a different way her job has hardened her and the fact that she has been loving her partner unrequited for many years and hasn't found another guy to take his place. She is just one of those characters you want to fight for.
Vin is exactly the same except he was adorably cute at times, like with the doughnut and just other things it was so much fun to read about him realising his feelings for Jill and having to fight for her and not having it all his way, like in the past.

The story was good again very different from the previous two this one focused more on the detective side of this and finding out a killer and trying to work out their relationship, it was suspenseful, Fun, lovable, just a really easy read. I really want to read more from this author and i hope their is a book about the other Moretti brother because he seems really sweet just like the rest of them.

Being a cop might be in Anthony Moretti's blood, but protecting and serving the city of New York has always been more than just the family business. If that means his love life stays locked up, well then that's just another sacrifice made in the line of duty. That is, until he sets eyes on the gorgeous new waitress at The Darby Diner and suddenly Anthony's morning coffee is leaving him a whole lot more hot and bothered than usual.

Though being a waitress at The Darby isn't exactly Maggie Walker's dream job, it pays the bills and gives her time to work on her novel. Now if only she could stop fantasising about gorgeous Anthony Moretti every time he sits down at her table, she'd really be in great shape. But when he needs her help identifying a criminal threatening The Darby—and Maggie recognises her ex-husband—she fears her fresh start might be a pipe dream. Faster than a New York minute, Maggie and Anthony find themselves in one perilous pursuit that only gets hotter with each and every rule-breaking kiss.

Anthony Moretti and Maggie Walker two people yo would never put together and i guess that's why they say opposites attract. I read this book in one sitting it had action and craziness. It was a lot different than the first book, because you have two very different main characters and a very different story line.

Anthony is one of those characters that you will hate at times but will love overall because he has the kind of personality that is hard to interpret and i personally love him, he is strong, kind, loving and just so much more that i thought he would be.
Maggie is the same but in a different way she is strong, kind and loving but in a more feminine way than Anthony's caveman way. I really enjoyed reading from their POV's they had so much to offer and even though they weren't my favourite in the series they definitely made a huge mark on me.
The entire cast of characters made this book i said it previously on the review for the first book in this series but it isn't just about the main two it is the entire cast of characters that worm their way into your hearts because they are all just some of most well rounded characters you can ask for.

This story was a lot different than the first it had more action more suspense and more drama. Jaw dropping scenes that left me wanting more and the way it flowed from one page to the next it never got slow or boring and was entertaining from the first till the very last page and Layne has a way of writing that is so addictive and it is so well written for this type of chic lit genre book and i want to read so many more books from this author.
