Sweet Little Thing - Abbi Glines - Review (SPOILER)

Title - Sweet Little Thing
Series - Sweet #1
Author - Abbi Glines
Genre - New Adult > Romance
My Copy - Purchased
Format - IBOOK
Where You Can Find It - Goodreads - Ibooks
The day her mother passed away, Beulah was only given a name. That was it. No other explanation.

Portia Van Allan was not someone Beulah could believe her mother ever knew. Wealthy, self-absorbed and other than the fact Portia was supplying special care for Beulah’s sister, Portia was cruel.

The day Portia’s son returns home for the summer, Beulah discovers that Portia isn’t in charge. This isn’t her home at all. Her late husband left her with nothing. It all belongs to their son who doesn’t seem to like his mother at all.

Jasper Van Allan doesn’t know why his mother has hired a young gorgeous blonde to take care of the house and almost lets her go before he finds out the truth.

Realizing there’s more to Beulah than a stunning face, he keeps finding reasons to be near her all the time. It’s all falling into place, it all begins to make sense . . . until the real lies, the dark secrets, and the skeletons come tumbling out of the Van Allan closet. Twisted truths that will send Beulah running . . .
So as always i pre ordered this book and i was pretty excited about it, but i ended up dissatisfied. Not because it was a bad book but because i felt it was not dissimilar from the Too Far Series also by Abbi Glines.

The characters were quite similar and don't get me wrong, i enjoyed this book and i liked the characters but it didn't feel new, it felt like i was reading a book i had already read.

Beulah was a nice characters POV to read from, she is your typical Glines lead female, sweet, innocent, and falls the one boy she shouldn't have. Jasper on the other hand i feel like we didn't get a lot of him, well not enough for me to have formed either a good or bad opinion of him just yet.

His mother on the other hand is a raging bitch, throughout the entire book she is the epitome of an evil boss, and a crappy mother, then we find she is even more screwed up and not able to take care of a child because she had special needs and treating her own niece who had just lost her mother like rubbish. The one thing i commend her for is the fact that she tells Beulah and Jasper that they are cousins but she should have been honest from the start.

The other characters were OK, none apart from Beulah's 'sister' made an impression i felt like the book was too short, it felt like a novella rather than a book, the story flowed and it was an enjoyable read and i will be continuing on with this story and hopefully i can distance it from the Too Far Series.

Until Next Time

Hello, so it has been a long time since i posted let alone did a T5W, so i thought to get back into blogging and hopefully reading that i will start doing these again and take my blog back to where i first began. So this weeks T5W is all about the books i read because of Booktube/Blogging. I haven't watched booktube or been on any blogs for a while so these books are pretty old but here is my list....

5. Beautiful Disaster - Jamie McGuire
I kept seeing this book around here and there and decided to read it and i was so happy that i did even though i haven't read it in quite a few years it is still a firm favourite.

4. Obsidian - Jennifer L Armentrout
Again i haven't read this book in quite some time but i really stuck with me, and now i want to re read it.

3. The Fault in Our Stars - John Green
This book has so many emotions to it, and i have many fond memories of it as well, at one point on Booktube this book was all anyone could talk about,

2. We Were Liars - E Lockheart
I read this book back in 2014 and it still plays with my mind even now, when this book came out and everyone was raving about it, i thought this cant be as good as everyone says it is, but it really messed my mind up.

1. Percy Jackson - Rick Riordan
The entire Percy Jackson saga is one that i love with all my heart it think it was Katytastic that i first saw them on, but i cant be sure. I first read them in 2013 and i haven't looked back.

Secret Life of A Book Blogger Tag

Hello, so i saw this tag on Bookmark Lit a few weeks ago an decided to do it since most of my July posts are Tags anyway and i haven't done a tag in ages. And there are a few Questions that i am going to skip over purely because i don't have any answers for them.

How long have you been a blogger?

Ummm, on and off for about 3 years . I started this blog in 2014 but it has been very on and off because of other commitments unfortunately.

At what point will you stop blogging?

At the moment, i cannot see myself stopping. I may take breaks from time to time but when i do take breaks i miss it terribly so i think i will carry on until i stop and no longer miss it.

What is the best thing about blogging?

Finding people who love the same things and connecting with them also sharing my love of books.

What is the worst part? What do you do to make it okay?

The worst part is probably having a schedule and not being able to stick to it, or it would have to be the fact i end up spending far too much time on my laptop.

How long does it take you to make/find pictures?

I don't use pictures a lot, but when i do i make them using Canva and it is so easy so it doesn't take long at all.

What do you wear when you write your blog posts?

It depends on the time of day, if it is in the morning workout gear, the rest of the day i am normally in jeans and a blouse and if like right now i am writing at night i am in my Pj's (Christmas PJ's in July)

How long does it take you to prepare?

Not long, but it depends on the post, spoiler reviews take longer to prepare for than spoiler free and Tags i just answer them as i write.

So that is it for now
Until Next Time
Happy Reading

Ultimate Harry Potter Tag

Hello, so i should probably put this up on the 31st of July but i feel like being a rebel and putting it up on the 10th instead so this is a tag i found while literally searching for Harry Potter Tags in Google and the one i found doesn't have a creator so if you know who created it please comment below so i can correct it. Thank You....
Lets Get Started ......

1) Favourite book?
Prisoner of Azkaban
I don't know why but i think it's probably because of Lupin and Sirius.

2) Least favourite book?
Goblet of Fire
i honestly don't know why but i just never liked it.

3) Favourite movie?
Deathly Hallow's - Part 2
It is just a brilliant film for a book to movie it's good and just for a fitting end to an era

4) Least favourite movie?
Deathly Hallow's - Part 1
I just think most of it is irrelevant and i know a lot of people will disagree with that but most of it was the golden trio sitting in a tent.

5) Favourite quote?

“Do you remember me telling you we were practised non-verbal spells?”
“Yes.”
“Yes sir.”
“No need to call me sir, professor.”

6) Favourite Weasley?
Ron
I just really like him and i don't know why, but i feel like Mrs Weasley i don't want to choose between my babies.

7) Favourite female character?
Hermione
She is the best female character ever to be created in any bookish/film world.

8) Favourite villain.
Umbridge
Because everybody has known an Umbridge in their lives be it in school or at work.

9) Favourite male character?
Lupin
I always loved Lupin and the whole lonesome thing he has going on and his entrance just like here eat this chocolate.

10) Favourite professor?
McGonagall
'Have a biscuit Potter'

11) Would you rather A) wash Snape’s hair or B) spend a day listening to Lockhart rant about himself?
Wash Snapes hair
i would kill Lockhart and then be expelled for killing a professor, if i had to listen to him ramble on. Snape's hair i could hack that for like 10 minutes.

12) Would you rather duel A) an elated Bellatrix or B) and angry Molly?
A Elated Bellatrix
Purely because she will get distracted easily and Molly is scary AF when she is angry.

13) Would you rather travel to Hogwarts via A) Hogwarts Express or B) Flying Car?
Hogwart's Express
No doubt in my mind, the Hogwarts Express seems more magical.

14) Would you rather A) Kiss Voldemort or B) give Umbridge a bubble bath?
Kiss Voldermort
It doesn't say where i have to kiss him and even if if was on the lips, Toad face would be naked and i am pretty sure i would throw up.

15) Would you rather A) ride a Hippogriff or B) ride a Firebolt?
Firebolt
Hippogriffs are a bit temperamental and i could handle the broom better.

16) Is there a character you felt differently about in the movies?
Ginny
They changed her so much from the books instead of being strong she just seemed really flat and boring.

17) Is there a movie you preferred to the book?
No
The Books are always better than the films, hands down.

18) Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore?
Michael Gambon
I loved both, but preferred Gambon in the end.

19) Your top thing (person or event) that wasn’t in the movie that you wanted there the most?
Tonks and Lupin Relationship
It was there but not much.

20) If you could remake any of the Harry Potter movies which would it be?
Half Blood Prince
I would make it closer to the book

21 Which house was your first gut feeling you’d be a part of?
Ravenclaw
Only because i am book smart

22) Which house were you actually sorted into on Pottermore?
Hufflepuff
That was about two years ago, and i took it again when they relaunched Pottermore and i was still Hufflepuff, i enjoy being a hufflepuff and an proud of it.

23) Which class would be your favourite?
History of Magic
History is my all time favourite subject. And i cannot imagine not loving History of Magic.

24) Which spell do you think would be most useful to learn?
Accio
I am forever losing things so this would help a ton.

25) Which character do you think you’d instantly become friends with?
Ginny
I relate to Book Ginny so much and she is like most of my friends in the real world

26) If you could own one of the three Hallows, which would it be?
Invisibility Cloak
Sneaking around and being able to hide with no effort, yep that is my kind of object.

27) Is there any aspect of the books you’d want to change?
Not really, but if i had to choose it would be Vernon getting his comeuppance.

28) Favourite Marauder?
Padfoot, Mooney, or Prongs
I'm not choosing, you can't make me.

29) If you could bring one character back to life, which would it be?
Fred
His death still kills me, i understand why but i don't like it.

30) Hallows or Horcruxes?
Hallow's
You have to commit murder to make a Horcrux and i just don't have that in me.

So that is it for this tag
