Once She Dreamed Part One & Part Two - Abbi Glines - SPOILERS!!!!!!!!

Title - Once She Dreamed Part 1 & Part 2
Series Once She Dreamed
Author Abbi Glines
Genre - New Adult
My Copy - Purchased
Format Kindle
Where You Can Find It - Part 1 - Goodreads - Amazon UK - Amazon US -Barnes & Noble
Where You Can Find It - Part 2 -  Goodreads - Amazon UK - Amazon US
I am not putting the Synopsis because i already did that on the spoiler free post so 😛😛

I honestly don't know where to start, I honestly did not think i was going to enjoy this when i first started reading it, it wasn't until i got to the second part that i actually started reading for enjoyment instead of purely just for finishing and i am so happy and grateful that i pushed on because i saw one of my favourite characters in the Rosemary Beach Series.

Ezra, when we first meet him it didn't even register that he was from a small town in Texas and it didn't register that he was so similar to a character we already knew.
Hale on the other hand was a complete and utter w****r, i loved him in the beginning but that just shows how things were never as they seemed. At first i thought Hale was Reese's brother till i remembered his actual name. I honestly didn't expect anything that happened in the second book, normally i can usually guess what is going to happen but this had my head spinning with every twist and turn.

Back to Ezra, i honestly should have seen this coming, because Major was one of my favourite characters from the Rosemary Beach series and it was so good to see him fall in love. Even though we didn't know it at the time, the ending was so open that i hope we do get another book be it another novella or even a full book where Major/Ezra couldn't stay away from Sammy Jo or even just an update on Sammy Jo.

The story line was good but i am a little confused as to when we see Cope, Nan's Husband, because he says he has to get back to Nan and Axel but their son is called Finn, so i don't know if they had another son because it is a little confusing as to the timing into the Rosemary Beach Series. i think it is quite a few years after up in flames but i cannot be sure.

A lot of people including myself want Sammy to be pregnant because he left after sleeping with her for the first time and the fact that she knew his real name i could just see her having a boy and naming him major and then the fact that she is in Alabama, somehow running into one of the Rosemary Beach characters and them just putting the dots together. But that is just my hope but i doubt that will happen.

I can honestly say i didn't see it coming and now i am so happy i read this series even though not a lot of people did, but it is a good little addition to the Rosemary beach series that gives you a bit of an ending to a character who will all for some reason love.

Like a Memory - Abbi Glines Theories

Synopsis

One memory.
One special summer.
The one thing Bliss had lost herself in when the fear and sickness were too much, moments never to be damaged by the harsh reality that followed… until now.

Bliss York didn’t live a normal teenage life. She didn’t go to Friday night football games, walk the halls with her friends every day, go to her prom or even walk to receive her diploma. It had all been taken from her the fall that she was fifteen years old and she was given the diagnosis no one ever wants to hear.

She had leukaemia.

Seven years after spending a summer with a girl who he knew would always be his first love and the one who got away, Nate Finlay returns to Sea Breeze to help his fiancé open her new boutique clothing store. When the new employee walks in Nate is taken back seven years to the girl he thought he’d love forever. The one who never answered his calls or returned his text. The one who shut him out completely with not even a goodbye and broke his heart.

They’ve each become someone different. No longer the young teens with stars in their eyes. But does that matter when your heart still says that’s the one.

Excerpts

Just as I was about to finish chapter two a shadow fell over me. I figured it was Larissa. Looking up I grinned, about to ask if she had herself a hot date. My eyes locked on a familiar face. One that was older, a face I remembered, from two long summers ago. A face a girl would never ever forget. His silver eyes were stunningly breathtaking.
He was sixteen now but his muscular bare chest looked at least eighteen. I really hoped Larissa didn’t see him. Her tiny bikini and D cup boobs would draw his attention real fast.
“Bliss,” he said, remembering my name.
“Nate,” I replied as I sat up. I’d day dreamed about him often since that meeting on the beach when I was thirteen years old.
He smirked like he was impressed. Like he expected me to remember him but wasn’t positive I would.
“I was beginning to wonder if you still lived around here.” He spoke then moved to take a seat beside me. He made it look sexy and cool, just like I remembered from that summer. He wasn’t awkward, didn’t weirdly squat, like most people do in the sand.
“You’ve looked for me?” I asked. My heart doing a happy flutter in my chest. He had actually wanted to find me.
“Of course I did. You’re my favorite memory about this place. Sure as hell ain’t my grandpop’s bar.”
He cursed. Eli never cursed. My brother’s did when my parents weren’t listening, but they didn’t do it in public. When they were out having to work on the farm they would curse for the sake of cursing. The way Nate did it seemed much older. Like he was sure of himself.

The door to Octavia’s swung open and out stepped a tower of boxes. I stopped, because the tower was tipping towards me, and just before it crashed I spoke.
“Careful,” I said, before reaching to steady the body behind the cardboard. “Can you see where you’re going?”
A heard a squeal and then they came down. I moved to help when my eyes locked with a pair I knew all too well. I’d only seen eyes like that once before and they were blue and deep and cool. The long thick dark hair tumbling down past her shoulders was also familiar to me. She was older and her body now curved in all the right places. She had definitely developed since the teenage years. No longer fifteen she’d become a woman.
Bliss York had been my first love. Or so I’d thought back then. Come to find out she’d been my first lust, because I had no idea how to love. Her face could stop traffic and that was without any makeup. She was as natural as I remembered. Nothing fake about her. Her smile had once made everything perfect in my world.
“Oh, I’m sorry. . .” she said, trailing off as her eyes scanned my face. I saw the realization there. She remembered me. Knew who I was. The boy who had given her that first kiss. Told her he would love her forever. Then I left after a summer of what I thought was the beginning of forever. I’d been a bit of a dreamer back then. It was before I realized that women weren’t as soft and pretty on the inside as they were on the outside. My mother was perfect, inside and out, but my little sister Ophelia had a definite evil streak.
“You work here?” I asked before she could say my name. I didn’t want to remember that summer. I had remembered it for far too long. Once I finally got it through my head that Bliss York wasn’t the perfect girl, I’d let myself forget her entirely.
She opened her mouth to speak, then slowly nodded her head.
I knew that Octavia had hired someone to help her get things ready. I just hadn’t been told her name. Not that it mattered. That was seven summer’s back and a part of my past that would stay there.
I picked up a fallen box. “I’m Octavia’s fiancé Nate.”  That should answer her questions and also lead her to believe I didn’t remember. “I’ll get these boxes to the recycle bin.”
I didn’t wait for her to give me her name. I went to work picking up the rest of the fallen boxes. She didn’t move for what felt like several minutes, but was actually just a few fleeting seconds. I was tense. Not sure why. If she told me who she was and asked if I remembered, I could still act as if I’d forgotten. Seven fucking years had passed. We’d been kids then. We weren’t now. I was a different person and I was sure she was too.
“Okay, um. . .thank you,” she said. I wanted to look up and watch her go. To take in the woman she’d become. To see just how much her body had changed. The glimpse I’d allowed myself at first had been impressive and I wanted another. She had been a beauty back then. Now she was gorgeous and I had to fucking work with this beauty for the next two weeks.
     Shit.
This would only happen to me.

Theories....

My biggest theory is that Nate either isn't really engaged and its just a publicity thing for the opening of Octavia's shop or he is being forced into it, but i cannot think of anyone doing that so i am going with the first one and my biggest reasoning is a quote from one of the excerpts above and that is...

" It was before I realised that women weren’t as soft and pretty on the inside as they were on the outside. My mother was perfect, inside and out, but my little sister Ophelia had a definite evil streak."

If he was so in love, wouldn't Octavia be on that list.....

Secondly i think that we are going to either love or hate Octavia, like she will either be the nicest person on  the planet or she will be the Nan of this series.

Bliss is going to end up telling Nate about the illness in an argument or he will find out from a third party.

After Bliss' illness i have a feeling that Cage and the men are going to be even more protective than before and this will lead to a heated confrontation between Nate and Cage

There needs to be a father/son moment in this book between Nate and Rush and we can also add some Dean into that, i am almost a 100% convinced that Dean owns Live Bay, we only really know of one bar in Sea Breeze and what Rocker wouldn't want to own Live Bay where they have live rock acts.

There is going to be more interconnecting with the other children and i cannot wait.

This needs to be a Bliss/Nate HEA because it has promised so much and for people like myself who have been waiting since 2014 for this book and these characters i am more than a little terrified that they wont get a HEA.

This is probably going to be the most emotionally charged book in the entire series because of the topic and the fact that we have literally read them as they were born and then they grew up and it is going to be one hell of an emotional roller coaster and one i am really hoping lives up to the high expectations i have for it.

Up In Flames - Abbi Glines - Spoiler Free Review

Title - Up In Flames
Author - Abbi Glines
Series - Rosemary Beach #14
ISBN - 9781471144714
Genre - New Adult > Romance
My Copy - Purchased
Format - Paperback
The villain of Rosemary Beach finally gets her own happy ending in the long-awaited final novel of the #1 New York Times bestselling new adult romance series by Abbi Glines.
The Rosemary Beach series ends with a bang when the troubled character readers love to hate gets her very own happily ever after in this eagerly anticipated and overwhelmingly requested story. Known for causing problems for everyone in Rosemary Beach, Nan has been growing up lately, and she’s finally taking centre stage—and finding love with the man she least expected.

I have been eagerly anticipating this book i have had it pre ordered since January but then i realised on the 26th that i probably wont get it till like 11 am because that is when our post is delivered so i brought the kindle edition as well and was going to read it at midnight but fell asleep so i woke up really early and devoured this book in a couple of hours. I like most people who have read this series has some serious qualms about this book, well Nan mostly i honestly couldn't see how Glines could write a book that would make me change my opinion on her but she did she isn't my favourite of the women but i don't hate her like i used too.

Nan as a character wasn't much changed from the other times we have seen her, but this time we have her side of the story and how she feels when she knows shes acting like a bitch but cant help it. I am actually really happy about the way she was portrayed because it felt true to her character and it wasn't a huge change to how she has been portrayed before. There were some things she did in this book that were honestly disgusting and she knew it, but on the same hand some thing she did were downright adorable like every single scene with Nate and he wanted her to sleep in his room and she would have to eat the 'spinch' it was just so cute.
The two men i am not going to talk about either of then because you should go in blind, we have met Major before but we honestly don't know much about him and the other guy well you will just have to read about him. I actually didn't like either of them to start with they were both in my opinion Tossers.

Story wise it was a good story one we had a couple of hints to in The Best Goodbye, and there were things i didn't see coming and some really sad things that happen as well i cried so damn hard at that and i will never forgive Glines for that because it was just mean. :( .
It was nice to see more of Rush and Nate because they have sort of been in the background since their books and it was nice with all the cute moments as well as the bridge building moments between Blair and Nan. I will say i was expecting a Dean mention since his book is next and also i was expecting her to talk to Kiro but neither happened, i did feel some scenes were missing but i hope they get cleared up in Deans Novella.

I honestly cannot believe this series is over i started reading it in November 2014 and to me it feels like leaving home, i mean i have re read these books more times than i can count but they make me happy and i will always love them and each time i read them i love them a little bit more.

You Were Mine - Abbi Glines

Title - You Were Mine
Author - Abbi Glines
Series - Rosemary Beach #9
ISBN - 9781471122323
Genre - New Adult
My Copy - Purchased
Format - Paperback
Where You Can Find It - Goodreads - Waterstones - Barnes & Noble - Book Depository - Amazon UK - Amazon US
Bethy and Tripp are the best kept secret in Rosemary Beach history, Tripp had a plan leave behind the life his parents have planned out he will leave at the end of the summer, but then he meets beautiful Bethy Lowry. It was only meant to be a summer fling no one even knew they were friends and when Tripp left at the end of the summer Bethy was broken even though he promised to come back for her. But by the time he eventually did, it was too late someone else had already taken his place.

Bethy is a character who has featured since the first book and has been a shining light in some of the bad times but unfortunately she has also had quite a few of those bad times and you feel so bad for in this book even though everyone else has forgiven her she cant forgive herself and there is even more she cant forgive herself for things from her past that affected her future and this is such a heartbreaking story one i truly commend Glines for writing because it is a subject not written about enough in books and it should be.

Tripp on the other hand i can understand where he was coming from but he really annoyed me at times he even knew some of the circumstances but he still pushed and pushed when she just wanted to be left alone and everyone else i just really wanted Bethy to tell them  what was going on especially Blaire.

It was so good to see everyone get together for the wedding and all of the family and Nate playing drums was just too cute and also the Trethy shipper. I loved every aspect of this book but i am still waiting for Bethy to tell her friends about what made her act like that in the first place.

I only gave this a 4 flags because i was just needing some more extra scenes and it would have been perfect it just felt like their story wasn't finished like the others was.

The Best Goodbye - Abbi Glines

Title - The Best Goodbye
Series - Rosemary Beach #12
Author - Abbi Glines
ISBN - 978-1-4711-4469-1
My Copy - Purchased
Where You Can Find It - Goodreads - Waterstones - Barnes & Noble - Book Depository - Amazon UK - Amazon US

The Best Goodbye follow two characters we haven't really met before Captain who we know a little about then Rose who we have never met before.
Rose is a single mother who reminds Captain of his only ever love Addy, the girl who is the reason he got tangled with DeCarlo and but Addy is dead and Rose will never replace her.
As Rose and Captain get closer secrets from both of there pasts come to light will they ever find the happiness that they deserve or will it all go down in flames.

The Best Goodbye wasn't my favourite in the series but like all the other books it was extremely enjoyable, I'm also pretty sure it's the shortest as well.
Captain was a good male character, the struggles he has gone through in his life, and the relationship he has built with Blaire it just had me smiling, my only problem with Captain's character was that we didn't get a father/son moment between Captain and his dad I kept expecting it to happen and it didn't, and the casual sex with Elle was just strange, I changed my mind I was going to say we have never seen that before but then I remembered Rush and the girl on the porch.
Rose on the other hand is practically his opposite she is a single mother who is looking for the boy she loved when she was 16 but she doubts she will ever find him, it was fun to read a character with a child that was a bit older rather than a toddler.

Overall I wish it was a bit longer and there was more Captain side of the family bonding but I did still like it very much now with Rosemary Beach series ending next June Abbi Glines just released the cover for the final book and from the small amount of information we get in The Best Goodbye we know it's going to be drama filled so I will not be reviewing a Abbi Glines book till next year first with Deans Novella then Up in Flames Nans Story.

When You're Back - Abbi Glines Spoiler Free

Title - When You're Back
Series - Rosemary Beach
Author - Abbi Glines
My Rating - 4.5 / 5
GoodreadsWhen You're Back
ISBN - 1471122360 (ISBN13: 9781471122361)
My Copy - Brought from Amazon Kindle
Release Date- 30th June 2015
Synopsis - Love is a journey - Rosemary Beach is the destination...The future is bright for Reese Ellis. She has Mase Colt-Manning, the man of her dreams, and a family she didn't know existed until her long-lost father arrived on her doorstep in Rosemary Beach. Everything is finally falling into place. While Reese is visiting her new family in Chicago, Mase spends time with his "cousin," Aida, who has worshipped him since childhood. Unrelated by blood, Mase and Aida have been raised to think of each other as family. But when Reese returns, she can tell something isn't quite right. Aida clearly resents Reese and excels at manipulative little games. And though Mase is unsuspecting, Reese knows Aida doesn't love him like a cousin should...

This was was almost perfection it had me laughing out loud and just re-affirmed my love for cowboys. At first i wasn't sure that Reese and Mase needed another story now I'm glad they did because it ended their story and rounded some things out.
The reason this book was almost perfection and not fully was the ending i felt it needed a little more it seemed to just cut off without much information. In When You're Back we get introduced to new characters and get reacquainted to characters we have already briefly met like River 'Captain' Kipling who if you remember from Blaire and Rush's story he is Blaire's half brother. we also get more Dean and Kiro and something Dean says makes me wonder what his novella is going to be about
"Dean sighed heavily and shook his head ' never been in love like that. After seeing how it changed Kiro when he lost her, I never let anyone get close enough to me. I wasn't going to ever feel that pain. Don't want it."

Reese really grows as a character in this book she gets a job where she has to read and file thing which is difficult with her dyslexia but she takes it on and rocks it. She was a little naive to not tell Mase about her concerns with Aida and then with Captain flirting with her and have him find out from walking in on him flirting.

Mase was also really stupid with the way he handled certain situations the Captain, Aida and Kiro ones were pretty bad he handled them all differently Captain with anger, Aida like he owed her something and Kiro was probably the best handled even if Dean did most of the talking.

We got more of Major this time as well and some of the best quotes from the book come from his mouth
" Reese has the body of a porn star, Aida. You have the body of a model. Women want your body. Men want Reese's"

Just picturing Aida face after that comment made me laugh out loud at 2 am, and Majors relationship with his Aunt.

"'Her favourite boy is home. She's gotta feed me'"
"he winked and puckered a kiss at Momma, before taking another bite. As always, my mother laughed at his antics. If that had been me, she'd have backhanded me."

This book mainly takes place in Dallas but we do go back to rosemary beach for Lila Kate's 1st birthday where we see all the gang and find out Woods and Della (Twisted & Simple Perfection) have a little boy called Cruz Woods Kerrington

As i mentioned before we get reacquainted with Captain, Blaire's brother and he is the male lead in the next book The Best Goodbye out in December 2015.

Over all this book was full of twist and turns it had me captivated from the first page to the last. All of Abbi Glines books are such fast paced summer reads if you want something light to read this summer read this series it will keep you coming back for more
