Sweet Little Thing - Abbi Glines - Review (SPOILER)

Title - Sweet Little Thing
Series - Sweet #1
Author - Abbi Glines
Genre - New Adult > Romance
My Copy - Purchased
Format - IBOOK
Where You Can Find It - Goodreads - Ibooks
The day her mother passed away, Beulah was only given a name. That was it. No other explanation.

Portia Van Allan was not someone Beulah could believe her mother ever knew. Wealthy, self-absorbed and other than the fact Portia was supplying special care for Beulah’s sister, Portia was cruel.

The day Portia’s son returns home for the summer, Beulah discovers that Portia isn’t in charge. This isn’t her home at all. Her late husband left her with nothing. It all belongs to their son who doesn’t seem to like his mother at all.

Jasper Van Allan doesn’t know why his mother has hired a young gorgeous blonde to take care of the house and almost lets her go before he finds out the truth.

Realizing there’s more to Beulah than a stunning face, he keeps finding reasons to be near her all the time. It’s all falling into place, it all begins to make sense . . . until the real lies, the dark secrets, and the skeletons come tumbling out of the Van Allan closet. Twisted truths that will send Beulah running . . .
So as always i pre ordered this book and i was pretty excited about it, but i ended up dissatisfied. Not because it was a bad book but because i felt it was not dissimilar from the Too Far Series also by Abbi Glines.

The characters were quite similar and don't get me wrong, i enjoyed this book and i liked the characters but it didn't feel new, it felt like i was reading a book i had already read.

Beulah was a nice characters POV to read from, she is your typical Glines lead female, sweet, innocent, and falls the one boy she shouldn't have. Jasper on the other hand i feel like we didn't get a lot of him, well not enough for me to have formed either a good or bad opinion of him just yet.

His mother on the other hand is a raging bitch, throughout the entire book she is the epitome of an evil boss, and a crappy mother, then we find she is even more screwed up and not able to take care of a child because she had special needs and treating her own niece who had just lost her mother like rubbish. The one thing i commend her for is the fact that she tells Beulah and Jasper that they are cousins but she should have been honest from the start.

The other characters were OK, none apart from Beulah's 'sister' made an impression i felt like the book was too short, it felt like a novella rather than a book, the story flowed and it was an enjoyable read and i will be continuing on with this story and hopefully i can distance it from the Too Far Series.

Like A Memory - Abbi Glines SPOILER REVIEW

If You Haven't Read This book Check out my Spoiler Free Review HERE

Going into this book i had quite a few ideas of what was going to happen and i was wrong on so many counts and i love when that happens so first lets go through my theories....

So lets start with what i called the biggest theory ....

My biggest theory is that Nate either isn't really engaged and its just a publicity thing for the opening of Octavia's shop or he is being forced into it, but i cannot think of anyone doing that so i am going with the first one and my biggest reasoning is a quote from one of the excerpts above and that is...
" It was before I realised that women weren’t as soft and pretty on the inside as they were on the outside. My mother was perfect, inside and out, but my little sister Ophelia had a definite evil streak."
If he was so in love, wouldn't Octavia be on that list.....

I was right on one account, he wasn't really in love with her but he was engaged. So i am going to count that as wrong

Secondly i think that we are going to either love or hate Octavia, like she will either be the nicest person on  the planet or she will be the Nan of this series.

This was certainly true, she will not be the Nan of the series but she was a definite bitch and i definitely hated her by the end but then i also felt sorry for her when her past came out.

Bliss is going to end up telling Nate about the illness in an argument or he will find out from a third party.

This is true, Nate found out from his grandfather, i personally thought it was going to be Eli. But i loved the way this was done.

After Bliss' illness i have a feeling that Cage and the men are going to be even more protective than before and this will lead to a heated confrontation between Nate and Cage
This again was partly true, the men in her life are particularly protective of her, especially her brothers the Song Cleaning This Gun came into my head when Cruz walked out meeting Nate for the first time. I am actually glad i was wrong about Nate and Cage having a confrontation and i was so happy with the way Cage handled it.

There needs to be a father/son moment in this book between Nate and Rush and we can also add some Dean into that, i am almost a 100% convinced that Dean owns Live Bay, we only really know of one bar in Sea Breeze and what Rocker wouldn't want to own Live Bay where they have live rock acts.
There were quite a few father/son moments and a few with Abe as well but i was completely off about what grandfather was in sea-breeze. Considering the last time we saw Abe he was on a boat loving life in Florida Keys the fact that he would move to Alabama away from his family seemed odd to me where as Dean really has no ties and he opened a restaurant and Dean is the one who loved to cook. But i am glad i was wrong about who owned Live Bay, Krit definitely deserves that bar.

This needs to be a Bliss/Nate HEA because it has promised so much and for people like myself who have been waiting since 2014 for this book and these characters i am more than a little terrified that they wont get a HEA.
We did get a HEA, and it was honestly the best, i loved the way it was handled with her telling him she was infertile and Nate meeting the York's. It was done tastefully and it gave them the ending they deserved. Even if the heartbreak was a bit much and i didn't see what happened with Octavia coming. But i should have because it is kind of normal for books like this to throw a spanner in the works.

This is probably going to be the most emotionally charged book in the entire series because of the topic and the fact that we have literally read them as they were born and then they grew up and it is going to be one hell of an emotional roller coaster and one i am really hoping lives up to the high expectations i have for it.
I was right about the emotionally charged, and it killed me at times seeing a family who i love in so much pain and then you have the fun moments i literally cannot wait to read the rest of this series. i have high expectations for all of them now and that worries me a little but they will be OK.

So that is it for my theories, but there are some things i want to mention.

Normally the next book is set up, and i don't know if its because Glines hasn't decided yet but we have absolutely no idea who the next book is going to be about, i have a feeling it will either be Eli or Lila Kate but i am not sure. It could even be Cruz York.

Then you have the fact that we don't really see much of the Adults, the Rosemary Adults were around more that the Sea Breeze but that is because Nate needed them. And WOW Nan and Grant in the same room without killing each other i'm shocked.

Poor Eli, he was never going to stand a chance and it was kind of sad because that situation is very common and most people have felt it from either side of the coin.

Bliss being infertile was a shock, i actually didn't know chemotherapy could cause infertility and it was kind of a learning curve and it was bittersweet because yes it saved your life but in return it takes a piece of you, It was sad to watch her war with her decision to tell Nate but the way he reacted was perfect and shows how he was raised.

So that is all i wanted to say on the subject of this book that really couldn't be put in a review for people who haven't read it.

Once She Dreamed Part One & Part Two - Abbi Glines - SPOILERS!!!!!!!!

Title - Once She Dreamed Part 1 & Part 2
Series Once She Dreamed
Author Abbi Glines
Genre - New Adult
My Copy - Purchased
Format Kindle
Where You Can Find It - Part 1 - Goodreads - Amazon UK - Amazon US -Barnes & Noble
Where You Can Find It - Part 2 -  Goodreads - Amazon UK - Amazon US
I am not putting the Synopsis because i already did that on the spoiler free post so 😛😛

I honestly don't know where to start, I honestly did not think i was going to enjoy this when i first started reading it, it wasn't until i got to the second part that i actually started reading for enjoyment instead of purely just for finishing and i am so happy and grateful that i pushed on because i saw one of my favourite characters in the Rosemary Beach Series.

Ezra, when we first meet him it didn't even register that he was from a small town in Texas and it didn't register that he was so similar to a character we already knew.
Hale on the other hand was a complete and utter w****r, i loved him in the beginning but that just shows how things were never as they seemed. At first i thought Hale was Reese's brother till i remembered his actual name. I honestly didn't expect anything that happened in the second book, normally i can usually guess what is going to happen but this had my head spinning with every twist and turn.

Back to Ezra, i honestly should have seen this coming, because Major was one of my favourite characters from the Rosemary Beach series and it was so good to see him fall in love. Even though we didn't know it at the time, the ending was so open that i hope we do get another book be it another novella or even a full book where Major/Ezra couldn't stay away from Sammy Jo or even just an update on Sammy Jo.

The story line was good but i am a little confused as to when we see Cope, Nan's Husband, because he says he has to get back to Nan and Axel but their son is called Finn, so i don't know if they had another son because it is a little confusing as to the timing into the Rosemary Beach Series. i think it is quite a few years after up in flames but i cannot be sure.

A lot of people including myself want Sammy to be pregnant because he left after sleeping with her for the first time and the fact that she knew his real name i could just see her having a boy and naming him major and then the fact that she is in Alabama, somehow running into one of the Rosemary Beach characters and them just putting the dots together. But that is just my hope but i doubt that will happen.

I can honestly say i didn't see it coming and now i am so happy i read this series even though not a lot of people did, but it is a good little addition to the Rosemary beach series that gives you a bit of an ending to a character who will all for some reason love.

Queen of Shadows - Sarah J Maas Review

Title - Queen of Shadows
Series - Throne of Glass # 4
Author - Sarah J Maas
ISBN - 978-1-4088-5861-5
My Copy - Purchased
Rating - 5 / 5
Where You Can Find It - Goodreads   -  Amazon UK    -  Amazon US
Genre - Ya > Fantasy

So i really cannot say much without spoiling the other books so this whole review will have spoilers everywhere

I am not really a Fantasy kind of person but this series is an exception each book is better than the last and this book was phenomenal every single ship from the first book has been flipped up and SUNK :'( and so much happened in this mammoth of a book (this will probably be a long on)

So lets start at the beginning

Dorian is describing what it is like having a Valg inside him and the darkness that takes control. Oh My Giddy Aunt, i have never really been a fan of Dorian but this book broke my heart for him he struggled and fought so much and i really admired him for that.

On to Celaena or Aelin as she is now going by we first see her in a bar and and she is wondering if Chaol is safe and then when she finds Chaol and he is with Arobrynn she doesn't talk to him just watches and then she meets with Arobrynn herself and he calls her by the new nickname people are calling her "Fire Breathing Bitch Queen". I felt like something had to break in this book this had to end if she was ever going to get back to Terrasen she had to either kill him or immobilise him.

When we get out first glimpse of Aedion he is in the castle dungeons and is ill with a fever that was caused by and infection but he pretends he isn't so the king doesn't decide to kill him before the fever can and and then his Queen will not be able to save him.

by around 34 pages in i really got the sense that we wasn't going to be using Celaena anymore and i had to get used to the idea of calling her Aelin. When Chaol and Aelin are in the same meeting i was kind of jumping in my seat (I still want them to be endgame Please) and then they talked after and they talk about how saving Aedion will be a trap and how its not safe and you can tell that he still cares for her. We meet Neseryn Faliq in this scene and i wasn't too sure of her in the beginning but by the end she really grew on me.

When Arobrynn offers Aelin a deal to bring him a Valg i knew in the end she would accept and when she did it was in return for the rescue of Aedion.

We finally get another Dorian scene and it is not giving you much hope the collar has made him cold and heartless and he is still trying to fight for control, But the deamon wins and starts controlling him fully.

It was nice to see some of the palace guards we have met along the way and when they are planning and Aelin tells them that everyone on their side should were a flower on their uniform was a testament to how good of a Queen she will be. Sparing the guards that are innocent even if they have just stood around and done nothing while innocent people are suffering in the dungeons.

We see the Duke again and i really didn't want to read about him i was like c'mon just get back to Celaena and the others who gives a S**t about him.  Then he goes and says he wants to breed Valgs with Witches and I'm like oh god what is this little bitch doing now from the beginning he has been sabotaging Celaena and he just needs to F the hell off.

When Aelin and Arobrynn meet and he has to go and tell her about Chaol and Nesseryn being Ex Friends With Benefits i was like WTF i mean did you really have to tell her then he goes and rubs it in her face that shares his plans with Neseryn and trusts her and he doesn't with Aelin.I wanted to kill him myself.

When the topic of saving Dorian came up i was like a See-Saw one minute i was on Aelin's side the next i was on Chaol's side they both had good points Aelin he isn't in there anymore its not Dorian and Chaol says that they can save him and that he will be in there somewhere they just have to get the collar off somehow.

Finally 130 pages in she goes off to save her cousin, and Dorian is still fighting for control against the valg but its waining he is losing. She finally makes it to the Glass castle. and you felt like this was a pinnacle moment in the series she is getting one of her family members back and is still in disguise but she is Aelin and there were so many Quotable Moments like "She was Fire, and Light, and ash, And Embers. She was Aelin Fire heart". Then she gets to Aedion who is chained up on a platform and another amazing quote that stuck in my mind took place in this scene " Aedion grinned at his queen, and the entire world went to hell" when she gets him free you really do feel for Aelin she finally has one of her family members back in her life but when they are escaping and Valg Dorian stops them i really thought she was going to kill him but then she hesitated and Neseryn finds them and points her arrow at Aedion because Arobrynn told her and Chaol that Aelin will betray them and kill Dorian if she has the chance. BASTARD

Lysandra is a complex character you never really know where you are with her and if she is betraying you or she is your ally. But we find out she is to be trusted she gave up her freedom to stop a little girl going through everything she did and when she finds out Celaena is Aelin she doesn't bat an eyelid.

Back to the Witches they will not give the Duke BlackBeaks but he can have some yellow legs instead. I have to admit all of the Witches scenes kind of confused me a little bit.

When Valg Dorian stopped Aelin from leaving he was trying to fight the Valg inside him when he recognised Aelin he wished she had killed him he doesn't want to live on like a monster :'(

When Aelin fights Valgs in the slums of Rithold to make sure Arobrynn has a lot of money in his back pocket you know she is planning something big.

We start talking about Rowan again ad Aedion tells Aelin that he is the greatest Fey warrior alive and Aelin is shocked because she never knew that she was bonded to the greatest fey warrior alive.

The stone Gargoyles from the tower is alive and they are in league with the Valgs. Even Aelin is shocked, i was a little surprised by her being shocked because if there is fey and valgs why couldn't other species be alive as well.

Page 233 was the return of Rowan i thought we left him back in Terrasen and wouldn't see him till we went back there, but her he is (sarcastic YAY). Even i have to admit Rowan is kind of hot and when they have a conversation while he is in the bath and it gets really intimate and she starts washing his hair it was strange to see such warrior act all soft.

We go back to Dorian and find out the Deamon and full control over him and he is no longer fighting for control he has given up. he is overseeing the prisoners interrogation and his Valg is very cold and is making Dorian watch and is taunting him in his mind.

WE have always known something was up with Lysandra and then one Bloody sniff from Rowan to find out shes a Shape shifter.

Aelin finds a Valg for her end of the Bargain with Arobrynn but she find one who wants to die his human side would rather die than live as a human with the memories from killing people while being a Valg. So off they go to Arobrynns dinner party. She decides that tonight is the night Arobrynn dies.

Even tough i do not Ship Aelin and Rowan together they do have that hilarious bond that lets them chat and the conversation during dinner was hilarious
"Seventeen-year-old Rowan wouldn't have known what to do with you. He could barely speak to females outside of him family"
" Liar i don't believe that for a second."
"Its true. You would have scandalised him with your night clothes - even with that dress you have on"
"He would probably have been even more scandalised to learn I'm not wearing any undergarments beneath this dress".

Then Arobrynn goes and ruins it i ended up being really emotional after this scene When Arobrynn goes and put that fricken ring on her finger and cuts her and sucks her blood so he can control her i literally had to put the book down for about 30 minutes but then i carried on and and got to the part where he tells her to blink and she does and my reaction was holy shit and a heck of a lot of No's then the next page you get clued in on the plan it was a fake Wyrdstone ring and it was the plan all along to make him think he has won and he has control over a Queen.

#awkward Rowan stops Aelin from flirting with him and while that's happening Lysandra kills Arobrynn YAY the ass hole is dead.  Celaena is called in to see if she can do anything to find out who did it Chaol broke in and put bloody footprints in a size that matches no one so none of them would be under suspicion. Meanwhile Valg Dorian is tourchering prisoner's.

Its time to read Arobrynns Will and Aelin is going to be Celaena for the very last time, Clarice is there along with Lysandra because Arobrynn told her he is going to leave her some thing in his Will but when it is read out he has left everything to Celaena. Then come to find out she switched the Wills and did it so she would have enough money for an army. Then she gets to see Arobrynns body she sees Lysandra's work and how brutal it is she still beheads him just to be sure.

Aelin, Chaol, Aedion and the gang try to find Arobrynns Hell Fire and when they are looking they find skeletons that have sins carved into them. They find Elena's Husband and his sin is he never killed the original Valg King and only inprisoned him with Aelins Necklace The Eye of Elena and they realise that the king probably want to free him.

Dorian is learning to like hearing the prisoners screams and tasting their fear and pain.

Even from the grave that annoying little B***H causes trouble by somehow letting the king know Lysandra is a Shape Shifter and the king finds and arrests her. During her rescue we get a lot of weird stuff happening Dorian and Manon i actually cannot wait to see where that goes and then Dorian for just one minute wins over the valg and tells is Dorian while talking to Manon. But Chaol doesn't realise that he only sees him when he is a Valg and he thinks he is no longer in there.

Kick Ass Aelin rescues Lysandra epically and gets out of there quietly then she realises Chaol is missing and he has gone to kill Dorian but takes an wrong turning and ends up with the witches

They easily could have gotten out of there without any trouble until Aelin goes and opens her big mouth and tells them she killed one of them and then a huge fight ensues. When Rowan took the Arrow for Aelin i was happy if he dies protection her hes done his job.

Then you have two amazing fighters in Aelin and Manon who fight head to head and i really didn't know who was going to win then Aelin saves Manon and she now owes Aelin a Life Debt.

The conversation where Chaol realises he was wrong to call Aelin a monster, then the talk turns into a goodbye and i was almost crying i have shipped Aelin and Chaol from the very beginning and my ship has finally sunk :'(.

Then Manon repays the life debt in a enormous way she tells Aelin that Dorian is still in there and fighting. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.

Contrary to what was said earlier about her never being Celaena again she pretends to be Celaena to get into the glass castle with Chaol as her prisoner on their way in they encounter the guards who are strung up and have been tourchered Chaol changes the plan and again you don't know what that plan is until its too late.

When they get into the room and Aelin and the King face off he knows that Celaena is Aelin because he went through Dorian's memories. He goes on to make an example of Dorian by making him kneel and a trendel of night whipped him and tourchered him. Chaols tries to save him but the king tells him the only way he can save him is if she gives over his former lover Aelin. Then Aelin releases Magic with the Eye of Elena.. Dorian runs after Aelin when she runs out of the castle with the Eye of Elena, Chaol stays behind to fight for justice for his men and Sorscha. Chaol is Dead and sacrificed himself for Aelin and Dorian. this time i actually threw my book across the room and into my bookshelf and there where lots of No's coming out of my mouth.

Dorian finally sees Celaena and fights the Valg inside him for control again and he wins. OMG that was intense an amazing quote from this scene that stuck in my head long after i finished it was "They joined hands, so the world ended, and the next one began"

We now have to deal with the King but hes acting normal and that's strange he has been controlled by a Valg minion since his childhood when he and his friend the Duke freed Errawan. The minion went into the King and Errawan went into Duke Perrington. Then the king tells them that Chaol is alive he didn't kill him but he is very badly injured i did a little happy dance at this.

Then Dorian kills his father the King and Chaol is at Dorian's Feet. Aelin addresses the crowd and tells them that The king is dead and Dorian is the new King and if any of them have a problem with it they can take it up with her and her court.

After the battle everyone is resting in their own rooms Aelin is back in Celaenas room and when she wakes up she is as sassy as ever with Rowan "I save the world and yet i wake up to you being pissy" that made me laugh after all the seriousness of the last couple of pages.

When Chaol wakes up we find out he is paralysed and is in a wheelchair. Chaol and Neseryn are going to the south to see if they can find a world renowned healer who can help him. Dorian is staying in the castle to run his city and Aelin and her court along with Lysandra and Evangeline who Aelin has made Ladies of her court are going to Terrasen.

AELIN IS HOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot wait for the next book and to see where all the characters end up and we are going into the south a place we have never been before.

I still want Aelin and Chaol to be endgame cmon Sarah J Maas.

Taming of The Queen - Philippa Gregory Spoiler Free Review

Title  - The Taming of The Queen
Series - The Tudor Court Series
Author - Philippa Gregory
ISBN - 978-1-471-3297-1
My Copy - Purchased
Rating - 4 / 5
Where You Can Find It - Goodreads - Amazon UK / USA
Genre - Adult - Historical Fiction

So where should i start with this book, how about with the tag line. "Why would a woman marry a serial killer? Because she cannot refuse..." that got me hooked in a second, because we are so used to reading about Henry VIII as this young hansom Prince and not the old tyrant he becomes. This book brought a light to a wife we don't know much about, even her name is up for debate is it Katherine or Kateryn. So lets delve into the last few years of Henry VIII's Reign

Chapter 1 begins in spring of 1543 at Hampton court palace where Henry Proposes to Kateryn and because you cannot say no to the king she just act like it is an honer and that she doesn't deserve it and that she needs a little time for it to sink in, Henry agrees and lets her go back to her chamber.

Kateryn goes to her lover Thomas Seymour and sneaks into his room after midnight to say goodbye because she is not foolish enough to have an affair like the previous wife Katherine Howard.

Kateryn goes on with her life as she becomes queen and has to bed this horrible smelly man who is old enough to be her father and man who has already buried 4 wives, two of whom he beheaded, 1 who died of a broken heat and his sweetheart Queen Jane who he left alone to die after giving birth to his son, so she was right to be careful. We get a glimpse of how Elizabeth got the idea that she could rule as a woman on her own. so that is all i am going to tell you about the book because there is a lot of heartache and emotions and scenes that i don't want to spoil so now onto my thoughts on the book.

So when i first starting reading this book i was a little blegh because i had finished The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir a month previous and that painted Kateryn and Thomas as the bad guys so reading about their love was a tad weird but then you really got a sense for the characters an you see the struggle she has had her entire life, being married 3 times all to men who were not adequate for her, a man who was afraid of his own shadow, a man who she was more of daughter and nurse to then too and then to a tyrant who could execute her at his will. There was one part in this book that actually made me hate Henry a little bit and that was when he punished Kateryn and the play he wrote"The Taming of The Queen" was horrible but at the same time that was the law in Tudor times. Even though the religion kept on changing back and forth from protestant to catholic, it was tough times for a secret reformist as a queen in a court where it was heresy to believe different from the king.Kateryn who was a scholar wrote and published many books that were deemed as heretic matirial. I love that throughout Gregory's books and series she keeps one thing the same, the curse that Henry's mum put on the family that murdered her brothers in the tower they shall die out and end with a virgin woman and this curse that started in The White Queen and has been mentioned in most of the books since if you read them in Time order (not the order they were published but time era chronologically) this time Henry mentions it "And people say terrible things. They say there is a curse, they speak of a curse, they say such things - a curse on Tudor boys, on our line."

Overall this book was a very good read, I definitely look at Henry VIII a little differently now than i did when i first learnt about him but you need all sides of a story and unfortunately that is something we may never know.

All That Glitters - Holly Smale Book Review

All That Glitters (Geek Girl, #4)Title - All That Glitters
Author - Holly Smale
Series - Geek Girl
My Copy - E-ARC from NetGalley
ISBN - 0007574584 (ISBN13: 9780007574582)
My Rating - 4.5/5 stars
Goodreads - All That Glitters

Synopsis

"My name is Harriet Manners, and I am still a geek." The fourth book in the award-winning GEEK GIRL series. Harriet Manners has high hopes for the new school year: she's a Sixth Former now, and things are going to be different. But with Nat busy falling in love at college and Toby preoccupied with a Top Secret project, Harriet soon discovers that's not necessarily a good thing...

OK so for the non- spoiler section there isn't much i can say but to give you a quick over view, Harriet and her family have just got back from New York and Harriet is trying to make some good first impressions on her first day of Sixth-Form (16-18 yr olds) and trying to get over her break up with gorgeous boyfriend Nick who has gone back to Australia to spend more time with his Family. But after a disastrous first day when every one thinks shes a show off know it all, her modelling career gets exposed when a campaign she did goes up every where, this book was full of laughs and tears. Holly Smale knows how to write characters that are real and relatable and i suggest you read this book and this series because it is a brilliant YA Contemporary book.

OK so if you haven't read this book stop reading NOW SPOILERS AHEAD

So we come back and we are back in England, and we start of like in the previous books with Harriet stating what she believes to be fact for example Geek girls first line was "My name is Harriet Manners, and i am a Geek" and in all that glitters its "My name is Harriet Manners, and i am a genius" i love these first lines i don't know why they are just very quirky and British.

So lets talk about Harriet's friendships in this book, so since Nat and Toby were avoiding Harriet and then her Modelling Career was exposed a lot of people started pretending to be her friends and i will admit as soon as it happened i knew it wasn't going to end well, and it was all revealed at the party that they were only there because they thought people she modelled with would be there, but i was shocked that India was actually nice and that she wasn't part of the bad crowd and i was annoyed with Nat & Toby at first but when there motivations were revealed i was really happy that they were only doing that so that Harriet could make some new friends.

Next topic has to be Nick, this book was full of surprises when she was writing the letters saying she missed him and it had me in tears i really felt her pain it was extremely real, and when nick was doing his interview and he says that she broke his heart it didn't register till it was revealed that he had written to her and said that he would come and stay in London and go back to modelling that broke my heart i was sobbing at that. On the other hand completely understand why she didn't reply was because if she said yes and he went back to modelling after some time, he would probably end up resenting her and if they did a long distance relationship it probably wouldn't have worked and she did the only real option and that was to let him go no matter how much she loved him and that is true love.

There was not a lot of modelling in this book it was mainly about her personal relationships, so there isn't much to say about that but the past picture from book 2 make an appearances everywhere from bus stops to shop windows and i loved the title of this book and the way it went with the story

Overall this book made me laugh out loud, and sob tears of sadness but i wouldn't change a thing

I cannot wait for the next book in this series because its a brilliant series that should be so much more popular

Happy Reading

Blood Of Olympus Book Review SPOILERS

Blood Of Olympus - Rick Riordan

Synopsis

Though the Greek and Roman crew members of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen—all of them, and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood—the blood of Olympus—in order to wake. The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it might be able to stop a war between the two camps. The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over.

So The Blood Of Olympus is the fifth and final book in the Heroes of Olympus series. The Heroes of Olympus is about seven demi-gods and a prophecy.
Seven half-bloods shall answer the call. To storm or fire world must fall, An oath to keep with a final breath, And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death.
and we unite the Greek Camp and the Roman Camp to fight the enemy.

OK so lets start of with some of the bad points i didn't like..
  • No Percy or Annabeth P.O.V
  • The ending was a bit rushed and anti climatic
so there is only two not many so lets start with there not being any Percy or Annabeth POV's, i was hoping for at least one chapter in Percy or Annabeths POV but that's not to say we didn't get some Percabeth action
" 'This is the place' she said. 'Percy, these are the trident marks of Poseidon.'
Hesitantly, Percy touched the scars. 'he must've been using his extra-extra-large trident .'
'This is where he struck the Earth,' Annabeth said, 'where he made a saltwater spring appear when he had the contest with my mom to sponsor Athens.'
'So this is where the rivalry started,' Percy said.
'Yeah'
Percy pulled Annabeth close and kissed her . . . long enough for it to get really awkward for Piper, though she said nothing. She thought about the old rule of Aphrodite's cabin: that to be recognised as a daughter of the love goddess, you had to break someones heart. Piper had log ago decided to change that rule. Percy and Annabeth were a perfect example of why. You should have to make someones heart Whole; that was a much better test.
When Percy pulled away, Annabeth looked like a fish gasping for air.
'The rivalry ends here,' Percy said. ' I love you, Wise Girl.' "

and to second point it all been leading up to this big battle and there just wasn't one yes there was a bit of a battle and Gaia was defeated but to me it was just a bit like oh shes dead OK that happened. But don't get me wrong i loved the ending i just think it was too rushed and could have been longer and a bit more detailed.

not onto some good points...
  • a good conclusion
even though i just said i think it was ruched i was glad nobody really died and that it was all happy but again i would have liked to see Leo come back to the group but all together it was a good conclusion to a series.
  • We have some plans for the future.
" a loud Whoop! cut though the air.
Over by the hearth in the centre of the common, Percy was grinning at something Annabeth had just told him. Annabeth laughed and playfully slapped his arm.
'I'll be right back,' Nico told Will. ' Promise on the Styx and everything.'
He walked over to Percy and Annabeth, who were still grinning like crazy.
'Hey man,' Percy said 'Annabeth just told me some good news. Sorry if i got a little loud.'
'We're going to spend our senior year together.' Annabeth explained , 'Here in New York. And after graduation -'
'Collage in New Rome!' Percy pumped his fist like he was blowing a truck horn. ' Four years with no monsters to fight, no battles, no stupid prophecies. Just me and Annabeth, getting our degrees, hanging out at cafes, enjoying California -'
'And after that . . . ' Annabeth kissed Percy on the cheek.
'Well, Reyna and Frank said we could live in New Rome as long as we like.'

  • Calypso finally get off island Ogygia
Leo had to rescue her i felt really bad for her in the Olympians series and then when everyone paired together like Jason & Piper, Frank & Hazel and Percy & Annabeth, then Leo was all alone i just love the way he is so sweet and adorable i love that Calypso is happy and so is Leo
  • i loved the dedication for this book it was like the book itself beautiful and funny.
" To my Wonderful readers
sorry about that apology for the last cliffhanger.
I'll try to avoid cliffhangers in this book
Well, except for maybe a few small ones . . . "
Because i love you guys.

and some other points that i just have to mention

I have been hard on Jason the whole time i read this series but he really re-deemed himself in this book like when Percy and Jason were underwater and he promised to make shrines or have cabins built for the smaller Gods  and the way he handled himself.

Piper really came into her own she became a warrior and even managed to get Annabeth to defeat a giant without logic. Also just being an amazing friend like with Annabeth when they were talking about Percy and how he has changed since coming out of Tartarus.

"Since she'd come back from Tartarus, Annabeth had told Piper a lot of scary things that had happened down there. At the top of Her list; Percy controlling a tide of poison and suffocating the goddess Akhlys.
'He seems to be adjusting,; Piper said. 'Hes smiling more often. You know he cares about you more than ever.'

we didn't really have much Frank and Hazel so theres not much to say about them.

now onto some theories

in Chapter XLII Piper POV

They are talking about there families and we have this quote ...

"What about you, Annabeth?'
'My Dad . . . my stapmom and stepbrothers.' she turned to the drakon-bone blade in her lap. ' After all I've been through in the past year, it seems stupid that i resented them for so long. And my dads relatives . . . i haven't thought about them in years. i have an uncle and cousin in Boston.' "

this immediately through up warning signals i knew there was going to be a new series called Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. My brain went into overload because we didn't need to know that piece of information in what nine books it could have been mentioned when they were talking about Annabeth running away from home. Also the who bit about an old rivalry could it be because Annabeths dad has child with a Greek goddess and her uncle has a child descended from the Asgard myths. i don't know but i cannot wait to find out.

all in all i give this book

Happy Reading
