Top 5 Wednesday - Favourite Maps - 5th August 2015

Hello, so this weeks Top 5 Wednesday is Favourite Maps. I love maps in books they give you a sense of the world you are about to delve into.

So lets get started ....

5. Across The Universe - Beth Revis

I haven't actually read this book but i was flicking through it when i brought it and saw the map in the back and it is making me want to read this book and i am going to this month. It is a map of the ship they are on and it shows all the different levels.

4. Changeling - Philippa Gregory

Changeling is set in a fictional Italy during the 1400's and this map is so beautiful i had to find it in colour. It is an amazing Ya Historical Fiction and the map helps you as they are travelling through the country and it is a great reference as you are reading. Beautiful and functional all i want in a map.

3. Game of Thrones - George R R Martin
Every single book in this series has maps and they all are amazing and in so much detail. Each book seems to have more maps that the previous book because the world grows and the maps get added along and they never fail on detail.

2. The Queen of The Tearling - Erika Johansen

Again another map that just makes the entire book more special by adding that special something and making you excited to read and explore this new world.

and at number 1 is ...

1. Crown of Midnight - Sarah J Maas

i wanted to choose Throne of Glass but i am loaning t out to a friend so i picked the next best book the second book in this amazing fantasy series Erilea is an amazing and imaginative world and the map helps you put it into perspective.

  1. I absolutely love the maps in A Game of Thrones. The map is so helpful in understanding certain aspects and I often have my finger marking the map pages while I am reading! Great list :)
