1330. Philippa of
Hainault may be married to King Edward III but she is kept penniless and
powerless. England grimaces in the clutches of the Dowager Queen
Isabella and her ruthlessly ambitious lover Lord Mortimer, while
Edward’s father rots in illegal confinement, a prisoner at Mortimer’s
hand.
It will take a courageous young man to emerge from the
shadows and rise up against this formidable pair. But now Edward is
grown to maturity and Philippa, his new wife, is determined to see
justice done. It is her advice, whispered into the young King Edward’s
ear, that will see the battle for England’s throne commence.
Treason is rife, with all to lose but a Crown – in more than name - to gain. The victor’s prize is England…failure is death.

Oblivion - Jennifer L Armentrout
Experience the epic love story of OBSIDIAN as told by its hero, Daemon Black…
I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door, there was going to be trouble. Lots of it.
And
trouble’s the last thing I need, since I’m not exactly from around
here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet thirteen billion
light years away. Plus, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that humans
can’t be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about,
and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. ‘Cuz they are.
But
Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself
from wanting her—or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes
me weak, and I’m the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us
all. So this one simple girl…she can mean the end for us. Because the
Luxen have an even bigger enemy—the Arum, and I need to stay on my game.
Falling for Katy—a human—won't just place her in danger. It
could get us all killed, and that’s one thing I’ll never let happen...
Falling Down - Anne Mercier
I was twelve when I started crushing on him.
I was seventeen when I met him by chance and our connection was made.
Now here I am, twenty-three, and I'm one of the two actresses in the video for his band's latest single.
Jesse
Kingston is a tall, dark, and gorgeous temptation I'm finding hard to
resist. It ends up not being as simple as doing a job and going home. It
can't be when he continually makes his presence known with his
not-so-innocent touches and sexy words. There is no avoiding him and
after spending so much time with him, I'm not sure I want to.
So,
when he proposes a weekend together, knowing I should say no, I throw
caution to the wind and instead I say yes. I'm going to ignore the
warning signs and do what I normally wouldn't--I'm going to give in to
my desire. I'm going to indulge my fantasies and give this sexy rocker
what he wants and something he won't forget--me.
The only
question is: Is one weekend going to be enough? Will our time end up
changing this bad boy? Or will it end up changing me?
Now onto the books i got for Christmas because i told everyone what ones i wanted....
Harry Potter 1-7 box set - J K Rowling
I really don't have anything to say about this if you haven't read harry potter where have you been the past like 18 years.....
Carry On - Rainbow Rowell
Simon Snow is the worst chosen one who’s ever been chosen.
That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right.
Half
the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he
sets something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke
up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around wearing
Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were
here—it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s
infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up.
Young Bess - Margaret Irwin
Growing up in the
shadow of her dead mother, the infamous Anne Boleyn, young Princess
Elizabeth has learnt to be continuously on the watch for the political
games played out around her. When her distant father, Henry VIII, dies,
the future brightens for Elizabeth.
Captive Princess - Margaret Irwin
In this, the second of
Margaret Irwin’s great trilogy about the life of ‘Good Queen Bess’,
Elizabeth I, the imperious, high spirited heroine of Young Bess finds
herself the prey of her sister Mary’s jealous suspicions. The death of
her young brother, Edward IV; the accession of Bloody Mary; the
execution of Lady Jane Grey; her own imprisonment in the Tower of
London; and the arrival of Philip of Spain to marry Queen Mary provide
the powerful background to Irwin’s masterful novel as Elizabeth strives
to achieve her ambition, the Crown of England.
Elizabeth & The Prince of Spain - Margaret Irwin
The 3rd and final in the Elizabeth Trilogy
The World of Poldark - Emma Marriott
Emma Marriott's The World of Poldark
explores the characters, the compelling stories and the era that
Winston Graham - and the television series - set out to recreate, the
England that Ross Poldark returned to from the American War of
Independence. England, and especially Cornwall, was then marked by
social unrest and a deep division between rich and poor. It was a place
of tin mines and shipwrecks, of new money versus old, of harsh justice
and great kindness. And, above all, it was a place that inspired Winston
Graham's beloved novels.
Amid the turmoil of eighteenth-century
Cornwall, Ross comes back to a home in ruins, his father dead and his
childhood sweetheart engaged to another - his own heart as battered as
the country around him.
Experience the great houses and the
glorious landscapes and follow the cast of characters as their stories
play out against the backdrop of Cornwall's wild beauty, through
interviews with the actors, behind the scenes insights and in-depth
information on costumes, props and locations. Packed full of behind the
scenes photographs, The World of Poldark is the ultimate guide to the popular series.Until Next Time
Happy Reading
