Imagine if the last thing you remembered you were 25 and a small mino on the work food chain, in a relationship with a guy whose nickname is Loser Dave and you have an amazing group of friends then one day you wake up in the hospital and they are telling you its 7 years later and you are 28 years old and married to an gorgeous estate agent what would you do?
Lexi must deal with all of the information she has lost, she now has perfect teeth and hair and is the boss of all of her old friends, but they are no longer her friends because when Lexi became boss she became the boss from hell so with her old friends hating her and not to mention a sexy dishevelled guy turns up and throws in another bombshell.
What in the world happened to her? Will she ever Remember? but what will happen if she does?
First off, Kinsella has done it again she is so amazing i loved every minute of this book and it had me hooked from the very first page. Sophie Kinsella writes these strong female characters who are also vulnerable and i loved Lexi she was a bit of a bitch in the past, but even then she tried to help her old friends even when they hated her.
The entire cast of characters in this book were on point, none of them pulled the book down and each one of them were relevant and played some sort of roll in her life old or new. this was such a good premise for a story it has mystery and drama and all the good things that come with a Adult contemporary romance, and it wasn't as predictable as i was expecting it be which is very good. I did spoil myself, i looked to see how many pages there were and saw the last page so i knew what the end game was but it didn't bother me because i loved seeing how she got there and it is so amazing how Kinsella can make you so invested in characters throughout just one book.
The UK cover is lovely to look at but once you have read the book it makes so much sense with all of the sunflowers and also the US cover has a big sunflower on it, its such a small part of the book but it has a big impact, i loved the ending and how it was all wrapped up in a pretty pink bow i love all of Kinsella's Stand alone's i haven't read her Shopaholic series yet but I'm starting to think i should because i have loved everything i read from her so far.
I gave this book 5 Flags because it had everything, laughter, sadness, love heartbreak, family & friends. Its the story of a woman trying to find the person she used to be in the world of the person she has become and the person she hates.
Until Next Time
Happy Reading
